Perfect ?

The composition Perfect? is an attempt to answer questions that occur to many musician’s mind in the routine of any instrumental practice. Is it perfect? Is it in tune? Are the notes of the chord balanced in the right way?

The work is based on a one-second sound of a chord which I played on my violin and recorded it. The short recording was sampled using granular synthesis and processed with other sound design techniques, which generated eight different sound materials used in the work.

Perfect ? has been performed live in SPARCLab Launch Concert in London 21st May 2024.
